Orien Mitchell graduated from LeMoyne-Owen College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2005. For 7 years (2006-2013), Orien was an educator, teaching Physical Science and Biology within the Memphis City Schools’ System. In 2012, she received her Master’s Degree in Human Movement specializing in Physical Education at the University of Memphis. In addition to her sports medicine background, she is a certified personal trainer with International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Orien’s ambitions of becoming a certified athletic trainer were attained in 2016. She received her second Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Union University. She began her athletic training career working for the Memphis Grizzlies’ Jr. Basketball Camps. Orien joined Memphis Orthopaedic Group in 2016 as an assistant athletic trainer serving Arlington High School.
