Jay Phillips graduated from Harding University with a degree in Kinesiology and minor in Bible. He also obtained an endorsement in Athletic Training and Certificate in Coaching in 2001. After graduation, Jay joined the Green Bay Packer’s Sports Medicine Staff under Pepper Burruss as the lone seasonal intern during the 2001-2002 season. He worked as a graduate student for the University of Memphis as a student athletic trainer under Eddie Cantler during the 2002-2003 year. Jay then joined a local physical therapy clinic and worked for over 4 years. In 2007, Jay joined the Memphis City Schools as both an athletic trainer and athletic administrator. Jay became a Registered Athletic Administrator from the NIAAA. Jay joined Memphis Orthopaedic Group in 2013 as a staff athletic trainer serving Tipton County and South Lauderdale County. Jay is responsible for oversight and management of the MOG Sports Medicine Outreach program.
