Philinese Strong, P.T.

Clinic Director, Occupational Rehab

Philinese is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist and has a M.S. in educational administrations and supervision. She has extensive experience with work-conditioning programs and functional-capacity evaluations. In addition, her work experience includes pre- and post-offer employment screenings, injury prevention programs, and ergonomic job-risk analysis for office and industry environments. Her greatest joy in life has been seeing her two children grow into independent and responsible adults. Her most recent passions are ballroom and Latin dancing. Philinese has been with MOG since 2008.

Christopher Hoffmann

Cert. MDT, ATC (Clinic Director, North Clinic)

Christopher is originally from Homestead, Fla.  He attended Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. where he played football while earning his B.S. in sports medicine in 1997.  Chris returned to his hometown to take the position of head athletic trainer at his alma mater South Dade Sr. High School. He decided to further his education at Florida International University where he earned his Master’s in physical therapy in 2003.  He and his wife moved to Eads in 2004 where they have enjoyed country living and raising their boy/girl twins.  In 2006 he earned his certification in mechanical diagnostic therapy of the spine from the McKenzie Institute and in 2010 he earned his Clinical Doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee at Memphis.  In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, going hunting, working on home improvement projects, as well as playing his yearly golf game.

Lisa Singer

PTA, (North Clinic)

Lisa is originally from Dayton, Ohio. She attended the University of Evansville and graduated with honors in 2009 with a B.S. in athletic training and an Associate’s degree in physical therapy assistance. Lisa focuses on outpatient orthopaedics, and more specifically, sports related injuries and return-to-sport rehab. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys running, watching any Ohio sports team, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.

Chris M. Valas

D.P.T. (Rehab Services Director, Germantown Clinic)

Chris has been a member of the Memphis Orthopedic Group Physical Therapy staff since 2005. He has been in his current job for two years, and prior to that, he held the same position at the Riverdale location for five years.  After earning an undergraduate degree at Rhodes College, Chris earned his Doctorate in physical therapy from Belmont University in 2002, graduating with highest honors in his class.  After graduation, Chris worked with the Lexington Clinic Sports Medicine Center in Lexington, Ky., for three years prior to moving back to Memphis.  Outside of work Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as much as possible.  Recreational activities include golf, occasional church basketball leagues, and running and resistance training.  He played varsity baseball and football in both high school and college.

Kyle Stewart

PTA (Germantown Clinic)

Kyle is originally from Bartlett, Tenn.  He attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and earned a B.S. in animal science.  He then earned an Associate’s degree to be a physical therapist assistant from Roane State Community College in 2010.  He has spent more than two years working in outpatient orthopaedics at MOG.   While not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and their dog, Sammie.  He enjoys watching and participating in sports, including officiating soccer games for his church and completing two St. Jude Half Marathons.

Elizabeth McGuire

PT (Staff Physical Therapist Germantown Clinic)

Elizabeth is originally from Omaha, Neb., and now makes Memphis her home.  She earned a B.S. degree in exercises science in 2007 from St. Louis University.  She received her Master’s in physical therapy from St. Louis University in 2009.  Her focus is on outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine.  She likes to spend her free time with her fiance Larry Addison, her stepson Brody and her two dogs.

Rick Fontana

Clinical Specialist/Technician, Germantown Clinic

Rick has been with Memphis Orthopedic Group in Germantown for 6 years.  He attended Jones Junior College in Laurel, Miss., where he earned a certificate as a physical therapy aide. He lives in Cordova and enjoys fishing and anything else dealing with the great outdoors. He’s the proud father of a daughter and a son, and is thankful everyday for his many blessings.

Brandt S. Maddox

PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant, North Clinic)

Brandt is from Bartlett, Tenn., and currently resides in Memphis.  He received a Business Management degree from Crichton College and worked for UPS for eight years in a management position before transitioning into physical therapy.  Brandt received a Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Southwest Community College in 2008.  He worked for Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown hospital for a year and then joined MOG outpatient clinic in 2009. In his free time, Brandt enjoys exercising regularly and is currently working on his personal trainer certification.  He is a fan of the Memphis Tigers and enjoys spending time with his wife.  Brandt has two daughters who stay active in Girl Scouts and sports at their church.

Rachael Dunlap, PT

DPT (North Clinic)

Rachael is a native Memphian.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis and continued to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for her Doctorate in physical therapy.  Rachael has worked in outpatient orthopaedics for four years and is working towards certification in Mulligan Manual Therapy technique.  She and her husband enjoy spending every possible moment with their new baby boy.

Matt Huey, PT

MPT (Physical Therapist, Riverdale Clinic)

Matt is originally from Olive Branch, Miss. He attended undergraduate school at both Mississippi State University and Ole Miss, earning a Bachelor’s in business management with a concentration in human resources. While at Mississippi State University, he was a member of the track and field team. After graduation, he attended California State University,Northridge and earned his Master’s in physical therapy in 2010. Matt has been trained in manual therapy and currently is pursuing certification from the McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis and treatment. He also is an avid drummer and drum collector. He and his wife Sherilyn have a daughter, Madilyn, and a Boston Terrier named Daisy.

Maurice Mottley

PT (Director of Rehab Services, Memphis Area Riverdale Clinic)

Maurice is originally from Memphis.  He attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, where he earned a B.S. in physical therapy in May 1997.  He has worked in outpatient orthopaedics for the past 15 years, and is seeking certification in orthopedic specialization and manual therapy.  He is a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time growing in his faith, love of family and friends while attempting to complete all 90 days of P90X.

Reginald “Reggie” Augustus Salazar Magpayo, PT

NDT (Staff PT, Central Clinic)

Reggie is originally from the Philippines and has been practicing physical therapy for the past 25 years in a variety of settings: school, in-patient, transitional care, long-term care, restorative therapy. He is NDT, Mackenzie, and Mulligan trained. When not busy practicing as a clinician, he sings, tap dances, plays the piano, composes music (and is writing an original musical hoping to win a Tony Award one day), and is a freelance actor with Playhouse On The Square. He also studied basic acting with the Royal Shakespeare Company and is a Cameron Mackintosh scholar.

Jeremy Hindman

PTA (Central Clinic)

Jeremy is originally from Millington, Tenn.,  who now resides in Lakeland, Tenn. He earned an A.S. with honors from the former Shelby State Community College in 1996. He worked at Methodist University Hospital for nine years before joining Memphis Orthopaedic Group in 2005. He has a special interest in rehabilitation of the shoulder and sports-related injuries. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three sons, who keep them busy with sports and Cub Scouts’ activities.
